Seventy years later, they used the city of Snowfield as the Sacred Land for their own Grail War. However, they were unable to successfully replicate every aspect of the ritual, resulting in it acting only as an imitation that has lost the Saber class and allowed for the summoning of strange Servants due to the blurring of the definition of a "hero." Rohngall and his pupil, Faldeus, have been dispatched by the Mage's Association to investigate the city and the state of the war. Faldeus, a US organization spy, has Rohngall sniped upon his arrival, despite knowing that Rohngall is a puppet. tl;dr: way too much sesbian lex, and the no consent sa is a bit cringe. If your not here for the sex somehow, plot is slow af. Art is 4 minute episodes are the only positives characters, all nothing burgers, too much sex and fluff, and the android not asking asking for consent in every episode, omg bro plot, a lonely office worker getting an android, kind of whatever, its literally only them fucking for 4 whole episodes. The plot only starts getting kind of somewhere in episode 5. ROFL art, well art is good, and every sex scene is drawn and animated really good admittedly, thats theonly good thing final verdit. too much sex, no plot, but if its only for sex, then fine, only watch if you're nosy or wanna do the deed

I am so grateful that I found this. I have always been a dreamer, but this show took me far away to foreign lands. It's the epitome of fantasy. This anime is hauntingly beautiful. I rarely get to see this kind of gem. This show makes you wonder about the connection between nature and humanity. Like others here have mentioned, the OST is great - so relaxing and fitting. This anime also has the best fight scenes I have ever seen. There is no such thing as a boring character in this show. I also loved the fact that Balsa is a grown woman in her30s, not a lost prepubescent girl, it adds the perfect amount of roughness. You will not regret taking time and watching this.

After 4 years of absolutely nothing, Konosuba returned with this little spin-off prequel starring Megumin, the "Crazy Explosion Girl". Most episodes follow the same structure as any episode of the main series, with some crazy thing happening that is resolved by the end of the episode, similarly to a sitcom. However, the exclusion of the rest of the main Konosuba cast hurts the execution of this structure to an extent. The show isn't bad, I highly recommend it if you're a Konosuba fan, but there are some issues that should be taken into account. The anime starts off with Megumin enrolling at the Crimson Demon Village'smagic academy, the Red Prison. There, we're introduced to the starting cast of the show, Yunyun and the rest of Megumin's classmates. These characters fail to work as "replacements" of the dynamic Konosuba cast, most of them being primarily stale and not offering much to the comedy aspect. Yunyun is an amazing character, but her role as a deuteragonist doesn't offer much for most (but not all) of the show, considering that she primarily follows Megumin's footsteps, as can be seen in the main show. Some characters that are introduced later on do manage to work very well with the show's comedy, and could have been utilized more. Characters aside, after a really boring set of 4 episodes, this anime starts to tell a pretty compelling story, which gets better and better each episode that passes. I can't say much as this is a spoiler-free review, but there's a pretty good amount of world building which is heavily appreciated. Megumin's personality without a Kazuma around to stop her leads to some pretty insane situations which wouldn't be able to happen in the main show, making this spin-off different enough from the main show to offer a different experience. It also seems to be a tad bit more serious than the main show, especially in the latter half, which gives way to some very nice Megumin and Yunyun content. Now that the cast and story has been cleared up, there should be some attention taken to the studio. The studio that worked on this spin-off (Drive) is a different studio than the one that worked on seasons 1 and 2 of Konosuba (Studio Deen). I was a little worried over the quality or style being affected by this, but surprisingly there's no noticeable differences. Same goofy faces, same coloring, same artsyle, and so on. The animation is as great as the main show's animation always was. Conclusion: Konosuba: An Explosion On This Wonderful World! offers a familiar but different view on the Konosuba world which, while boring at first, becomes interesting and comedic enough for an enjoyable watch, even though the comedy would be better if it wasn't weighed down by a weak supporting cast. This show is a must-watch for any Konosuba fan.

Exactly what I expected and what I wanted to watch at the moment. Something fresh from the genre and very well written story. Had heard a lot of good things about it when it was announced and the teaser was released. It’s because romance animes are tend to be slow paced or more of on the calmer side, I was avoiding watching a lot of things in the genre and recently picked up few from the genre and suddenly was in the mood to watch a high school anime which will make me feel good, make me laugh and would have a good love story andit turned out be a beautiful love story. And it’s always a treat to watch Romance, slice of life anime from CloverWorks and other studios like KyotoAnimation. They tend to go all out in this genre.

Let's all love lain. The story is good, but the progression is so confusing that you get bored. By 'boring' i mean you mostly don't understand what they mean really without any guide so. it mostly tells nothing about the show or what's going on so you'll get bored easily. The art is good, even though the artists only locking in to draw Lain and Alice in high quality and not anybody else. English dub is good enough. my favorite scene was Lain's sister saying beep beep in eng dub. the op song, "Duvet" by Boa is also a plus. I'd give this show 10/10 just for the openingsong.

I’m noticing people rating things based on logic and like “points.” And that’s fine, I totally get it. I’m much more of a “what mood am I in?” sort of watcher and reviewer. For example, I can agree and understand Schindler’s List is a 10/10 movie, but is it necessarily what I’m always in the mood for? Likewise, “worse” movies like, idk, the Other Guys, (Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlburg) is arguably a MUCH worse movie… but it’s also a 10/10 for me, since it does what it’s supposed to and it makes me want to watch it again and again. Arguably I might even giveSchindler’s List a 9/10 since it’s not something I’d want to rewatch more than once or so. With that in mind, I see my rating are usually much higher than average. I know I’m probably just explaining this to myself, but, what the hell. If I feel a show is a 5 or 6 out of 10… I’m not gonna finish it unless there is something extra funny or stupid that helps me eke it out and finish. Maybe this isn’t a very consistent point system, which I can see as I try to type this out. But it works for me. Some things are an 10/10 at one point in your life and a 1/10 at another point in your life, and I like those that swing for the fences, for better or worse. I even love “so bad they’re good things” so, idk. Mother’s Basement gets this really well, probably why he’s so popular. So, for what this show is it’s a 10/10 for me. I know it’s isn’t a “Frieran 10/10) but for what it does and the humor and the more than R+ horniness, imho, it succeeds exactly where it tries to. No notes.

Pacing. If the pacing had been handled properly, this could’ve been great. There was a lot of hype on social media about how massive the source material is and how unique the power system is. Maybe that’s true—but the anime didn’t manage to present it well. I found myself constantly Googling and watching YouTube explanations just to understand what was going on. Eventually, I stopped doing that and just followed the main story loosely. If the source material has too much content, cramming everything together and expecting viewers to keep up isn’t a good idea. That’s exactly what this felt like. It seemed tailored more for peoplealready familiar with the world rather than anime-only watchers. Animation Honestly, very good. The animation quality and camera angles are strong. However, it sometimes moves way too much, making it hard to focus. I get the stylistic choice, but I wasn’t a big fan of it. The details are impressive, though some character faces felt slightly plastic and lacked emotional expression. Characters Decent overall. They did a good job introducing a variety of characters, but because the pacing jumps around so much, it’s hard to form a real connection with them. Recommendation Mixed feelings. It might not work well for first-time viewers, but those already familiar with the world could enjoy it more.

I want to get straight to the point and say: this anime has potential. It was held back for its story telling style. - You can find a lot of genres in it. It has a lil sprinkle of fantasy, some action, lil bit of slice of life, mystery, and lil bit of comedy. That could actually work well since these genres are connected with each other, but I feel like it was not fleshed out to be incorporated well together, in this anime. - I'm not sure about the "comedy part" of this one, because most of the time it's just overexaggerated interactions of thecharacters, or sometimes 'funny' facial expressions. It feels forced and repetitive to me. - When there's a character introduction, it happens way too often, and sometimes a lot of characters are introduced all at once. Like, you can't just expect for the audience to immediately get this and that. Especially when they're apparently important, at least take time to show them off for a longer focus, and show us a backstory. This anime is like asking for empathy on a character you barely know about, it's all too fast. Like, I know they're supposed to be important but at least don't rush telling about their story. Make us really understand them to build an attachment on a character. - Struggle to remember characters. Apart from the fact that there's like, character name, ability type and whatever their role is in an organization, there's also supposedly an understanding on what their standing is or connections. And that doesn't work cuz their connections are also characters you've failed to remember or understand too. I usually remember names of anime characters but i legit only remember Kunikida, Ranpo, Dazai after watching 12 eps - For every new introduced character, they're usually portrayed as the strongest/impossible to defeat, every time. I think that is where it fails to make an environment that connects everything else and incorporates elements in the story well. - Some episodes are character-focused stories, some aren't, what can I say, the storytelling just feels ... rather inconsistent. I personally think that if the anime had a different way of story telling, or different technique in building up the environment, it would feel more consistent and empathizing to viewers. It really had the potential but that was it for me :'D. On a good note, great art and sounds in general.
